Kids Wheel Throwing Wednesdays
Ages 12 and up, 8 weekly sessions, 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Service Description
These introductory sessions are a fantastic way to experience the art of working with clay on the wheel, commonly known as ‘throwing.’ Each student will have their own wheel and receive careful instruction from an expert teacher. You’ll learn the foundational techniques of wedging, centering, and creating various shapes and forms on the wheel. The class covers the basics of the pottery process in a fun and engaging environment, allowing each student to explore, develop, and create their unique art form. We limit the class to a maximum of ten participants, ensuring more hands-on experience, personalized attention, and better communication between the instructor and students. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this class provides the support and guidance needed to build and refine your skills. We proudly provide SHIMPO VL-WHISPER pottery wheels which use an exceptional Direct Drive motor. This is a brush-less, belt-less motor that operates on a magnet system and is electronically controlled. As a result, the motor is EXTREMELY quiet! We also provide a boutique pottery studio space distinct in its cleanliness, organization, and welcoming environment. The minimum age to register for this class is 12 years old.
