Q / What does a typical class look like?

Our adult wheel-throwing and handbuilding classes will cover the basics of the pottery process for beginners, and allow for further development of those who come with experience. Our adult potters courses consist of 8 consecutive classes lasting 2.5 hours. We keep participation at a maximum of 10 persons ensuring more engagement, more individual attention, and greater communication between the instructor and students.

Q / Do I need to bring my own supplies?

No, you do not need to bring any supplies but are welcome to bring your own and keep them on your assigned shelf. Artsy Beast provides a wide range of tools for use in handbuilding and wheel throwing. The studio fires pieces in an electric kiln and provides a variety of dip and brush-on glazes.

Q / How does billing work? Can I pause or cancel?

Once registered into the class, students will be automatically enrolled going forward; existing students keep their spot until they need to step away from their clay practice. Enrollment will be billed every 8 weeks. When ready, students need simply email us at info@artsybeast.com to pause their enrollment.

Q / All your classes are full, what should I do?

If your desired class and time are fully booked, please add your name to the Ceramics Waitlist. When a spot opens up, we will contact you via the email provided.

Q / What are your make-up policies?

Q /How old does my child have to be to participate in ceramics classes?

Our Clay Discovery classes are handbuilding courses of kids aged 7-12. Our Kids Wheel-throwing classes are offered to those age 12 and up.

Q / Do you offer one-day intro courses?

We offer a monthly Try It First Class on Saturday evenings where you can spend 2.5 hours you'll dive into the basics of wheel throwing. To give handbuilding a try, please check out our other workshop offerings

Q / When can I come pick up my finished pieces?

Workshop, camp, or event attendees can pick their pieces up during normal studio open hours. Please contact us at info@artsybeast to confirm.
