Service Description

The Pottery Wheel class consists of eight consecutive sessions lasting two and half hours each. We keep the class at a maximum of eight persons ensuring more participation, more individual attention, and greater communication between the instructor and students. This class will cover the basics of the pottery process with focus on the foundations of clay process and working with clay. This class is ideal for those brand new to pottery or ones who have minimal experience. We proudly provide SHIMPO VL-WHISPER pottery wheels which use an exceptional Direct Drive motor. This is a brush-less, belt-less motor that operates on a magnet system and is electronically controlled. As a result, the motor is EXTREMELY quiet! We also provide a boutique pottery studio space distinct in its cleanliness, organization, and welcoming environment. Each student will have a dedicated 30 x 14 inch shelf for their work, have access to studio glazes and pottery tools, and receive bisque and glaze firings. Brand new students initially receive 25 pounds of clay. Ongoing students will have clay options available for purchase. The minimum age to register for this class is 18 years old.
