430 US dollars

Service Description

Instructor: Tucker Mandigo Our Wheel Throwing Sessions are designed to give you the time, space, and personal attention to truly enjoy the pottery process. Each session includes eight consecutive 2½-hour classes, with a maximum of just 10 students per class. Our intentionally small class size means more hands-on guidance, more opportunities to ask questions, and more time to develop your skills at your own pace. Whether you're touching clay for the first time or already have some experience at the wheel, you'll find a welcoming space to learn, experiment, and grow. Beginners will build a strong foundation in wedging, centering, and creating forms on the wheel, while more experienced potters can refine their techniques and receive individualized guidance from our instructors. We proudly use SHIMPO VL-WHISPER pottery wheels, featuring an exceptional Direct Drive motor. The brushless, beltless motor uses a magnetic system and electronic controls to create an exceptionally quiet throwing experience. No distracting motor noise — just you, the clay, and the wheel. Once you join a Wheel Throwing Session, your place is yours to keep. Students are automatically enrolled in each subsequent eight-week session, so you can continue building your practice without having to re-register each time. Enrollment is billed every eight weeks. When you're ready to take a break, simply email us at info@artsybeast.com to pause your enrollment. We love seeing what happens when students have the time and consistency to develop their craft — and we're happy to have you with us for as long as you'd like to keep throwing. With each eight-week session, you'll receive: Your own dedicated 30" x 14" shelf for storing your work A fresh 25-pound bag of clay Access to studio glazes and pottery tools Bisque and glaze firings Eight 2½-hour wheel-throwing classes Individualized instruction and guidance A welcoming, thoughtfully maintained studio space A Few Studio Details: The minimum age to register for Wheel Throwing Sessions is 18 years old. Ceramic projects larger than 8 cubic inches are subject to an additional firing charge of $0.03 per cubic inch. And because we want our studio to remain a beautiful, functional space for everyone, ceramic pieces not picked up within three months will be considered a donation to the studio.
