Service Description
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a hands-on clay experience designed for kids and their grownups. In this one-time class, participants will decorate a pre-made ceramic plate using the **sgraffito** technique, a process where designs are carved through colored underglaze to reveal the clay beneath. Each participant receives **one heart-shaped ceramic plate** that has already been formed and coated in red underglaze. Parents and kids can work side by side, carving patterns, symbols, names, or Valentine-inspired designs using simple carving tools. No prior clay experience is needed. Booking note: Pricing is per participant. If a parent and child would like to create one plate together, please book one spot. If both a parent and child would like to create their own plate, please book two spots. Plates will be clear-glazed and kiln-fired by the studio after the class, resulting in a finished, food-safe 7.5 inch plate. Ages 4 and up, with a participating adult All materials, glazing, and firing included.
Cancelation Policy
Refunds and Cancellations Kids Classes: Missed classes due to failure to attend, planned absences, minor illnesses, or vacations will not be credited for future classes. All class dates are posted for your review and convenience during the booking process. Adult Classes: Each student is allowed 2 make-up sessions per 8-week session. These make-ups can be used for any missed class during the session. All make-up sessions must be completed within the same 8-week session and cannot carry over unless express permission is given. For instructions on how to make-up a class, please see the Attendance Policies page on the site (under "More"). Additional time in the studio can always be scheduled for an Open Studio for $35 a session. Workshops: No refunds will be given for missed one-time classes or workshops, regardless of reason. Summer Camps: Cancellation must be received in writing via email to info@artsybeast.com 4 weeks or 20 work days before the session begins. All: Classes are subject to change if the minimum student quota isn't met (5 students). Refund or a Credit (minus $30 cancellation fee due to credit card fees) is given for requests received one week before the start of a session by emailing info@artsybeast.com. No refunds will be given after a multi-week class has begun. Class fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.
