Service Description

This Mother’s Day workshop is designed as a simple, thoughtful way to create something personal... a piece made by hand that can be gifted, or kept as a reminder of the moment. You’ll create a small ceramic platter, approximately 5 by 7 inches and about 1 inch deep, choosing between an oval or hexagon shape. The project is intentionally approachable, so whether you’re completely new to clay or just looking for a creative reset, you’ll feel comfortable settling into the process. We’ll focus on surface design using ceramic transfers, giving you the opportunity to build pattern and detail in a way that feels natural and expressive. I’ll guide you through each step so you can create something that feels considered without it becoming complicated. The workshop runs for one and a half hours in our light-filled studio. All materials are provided, and everything is set up so you can arrive, create, and enjoy the experience without having to think about logistics. Once your piece is complete, it will remain with us for finishing. We will handle the drying, firing, and glazing process, and your platter will be ready for pickup approximately two weeks later. This workshop is for adults 18 and older.
