The Pottery Wheel class consists of eight consecutive sessions lasting two and half hours each. We keep the class at a maximum of nine persons ensuring more participation, more individual attention, and greater communication between the instructor and students. Come to develop the foundations of wedging, centering, and creating forms on the wheel. This class will cover the basics of the pottery process for beginners and allow for assistance of those who come with experience. We proudly provide SHIMPO VL-WHISPER pottery wheels which use an exceptional Direct Drive motor. This is a brush-less, belt-less motor that operates on a magnet system and is electronically controlled. As a result, the motor is EXTREMELY quiet! We also provide a boutique pottery studio space distinct in its cleanliness, organization, and welcoming environment. Each student will have a dedicated 30 x 14 inch shelf for their work, have access to studio glazes and pottery tools, and receive bisque and glaze firings. Students will receive a new 25 pound bag of clay with each new Session. The minimum age to register for this class is 18 years old.
