Service Description
Annie Chrietzberg is a dynamic handbuilding artist with over three decades of experience in ceramics. She first discovered her passion for clay in 1991 and went on to earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in the field. Annie has published more than twenty articles in Pottery Making Illustrated, taught at the college level, and led workshops throughout the United States and Canada. Now based in Bend, Oregon, she regularly teaches online from her home studio and travels around the Pacific Northwest to showcase her work at fine craft shows. We’re thrilled to welcome her to our studio for this special workshop! Ittinerary: Saturday • Cup & Handle – Craft a personalized cup and attach a well-fitted handle. • Lunch Break • Juicer – Build a pitcher with a perfectly fitting reamer, designed for fresh-squeezed juices. Sunday • Butter Dish or Juicer Finishing – Complete the juicer project if needed or create a lidded butter dish. • Lunch Break • Butter Dish or Sugar Bowl – Continue working on the butter dish or handbuild a charming sugar bowl. Supply List for Participants: NEED TO BRING: Fat throwing stick (also called an “onggi tool”) or a big wooden spoon for shaping Clean towel or rag (to keep fingers clean) Banding wheel or turntable (a simple plastic cake turner would work) PROVIDED BY STUDIO: Stiff, small, inexpensive brush (for spreading slip) Small plastic container with lid (for “spackle clay” demonstration) Cutting wire Scalpel/X-acto/clay knife Needle tool Scoring tool Rolling pin Dowels in various diameters (1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2") Pony roller (also known as a pizza dough roller) Texture tools & cornstarch (for release) Small water bucket Pottery sponge Ribs (for smoothing slabs) Various wooden tools Set of cookie cutters ***Extra demos and techniques will be covered as time allows.*** Whether you’re new to clay or an experienced potter, this workshop offers plenty of opportunities to enhance your handbuilding skills while creating functional pieces you’ll use every day!

To ensure fairness and clarity, we have the following cancellation policy: Refunds: Artsy Beast does not issue cash refunds for canceled workshops unless the class is canceled by the instructor or the studio. Withdrawal Requests: To withdraw from a workshop, students must contact Artsy Beast via email at info@artsybeast.com or phone at 202-410-4278 at least **7 days prior** to the scheduled class. Withdrawals made with at least 7 days' notice will receive a credit that can be used toward another class or workshop. Late Cancellation: For cancellation requests made with less than **24 hours' notice**, no credits, refunds, or transfers will be issued. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain the best possible experience for all our students!
